Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  • Evenly distribute shredded cheese over the bread in the skillet.
  • Top with dill pickle slices and any remaining cheese.
  • Cover with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  • Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
