Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with cupcake liners.
  • In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the wet and dry mixtures until just mixed.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the brownie mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the powdered sugar.
  • Fill the brownie cups with the cream cheese mixture on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
