Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cupcake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Scoop the batter into the prepared cupcake pan, filling each liner about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, pipe or spoon whipped cream on top of each cupcake.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream and finish with sprinkles.
