Deliciously Simple Pigs in a Blanket Recipe

Pigs in a Blanket made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of mini hot dogs about 28 count
  • 2 cans of crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Optional: ½ cup of shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • Optional: mustard or ketchup for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough on a floured surface.
  • Cut each crescent triangle into smaller pieces (about 2 inches wide).
  • Place a mini hot dog on each dough triangle and roll them up tightly.
  • Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush each pig in a blanket with the beaten egg.
  • Optional: sprinkle shredded cheese over the tops before baking.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
