Deliciously Simple Pigs in a Blanket Recipe
Pigs in a Blanket made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.
- 1 package of mini hot dogs about 28 count
- 2 cans of crescent roll dough
- 1 egg beaten
- Optional: ½ cup of shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
- Optional: mustard or ketchup for dipping
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent roll dough on a floured surface.
Cut each crescent triangle into smaller pieces (about 2 inches wide).
Place a mini hot dog on each dough triangle and roll them up tightly.
Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush each pig in a blanket with the beaten egg.
Optional: sprinkle shredded cheese over the tops before baking.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
