Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for rolling
  • In a small bowl mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon until smooth.
  • In a shallow plate mix granulated sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating).

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon until smooth.
  • Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
  • Spread 1-2 teaspoons of the cream cheese filling onto each slice, then roll up tightly.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  • In a shallow plate, mix granulated sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating).
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter.
  • Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides, then place on the skillet seam-side down.
  • Cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side or until golden brown all over.
  • Immediately roll each cooked roll-up in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup or a drizzle of cream cheese glaze.
