Satisfying Grilled Cheese Burgers for Any Occasion

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Butter or mayonnaise for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, pickles, or onion

Instructions

  • Divide the ground beef into four equal patties, season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the beef patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side; flip and place cheese on top.
  • Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until the desired doneness is reached.
  • Meanwhile, butter the outside of each slice of bread.
  • Once the burgers are done, remove them and let rest while grilling the sandwiches.
  • Grill the bread slices in the same skillet until golden brown, placing a cooked burger between two slices of bread with cheese.
  • Add any optional toppings before serving.
