Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
While the sausage cooks, boil the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, ziti, marinara sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and half of the ricotta and mozzarella cheese.
Spoon half of the ziti mixture into a greased baking dish, then dollop with the remaining ricotta cheese.
Top the ricotta with the remaining ziti mixture, and sprinkle the surface with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Allow the baked ziti to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
